Brave little Jillian
This morning Jillian had her "Well Child Check-Up". She was 3 feet 4 1/2 inches tall and in the 75th percentile for height. She weighed 37 pounds and in the 65th percentile for weight. The Dr. even gave her BMI-(body mass index) as 15.6 and said she was PERFECT!! Well she needed only 2 shots--1 in each leg. The nurse had her lay on the observation table on her back with her little knees and ankles dangling off-- She said I am going to give you 2 little "pokies" kind of like a mosquito bites--She FLINCHED once then FLINCHED again-- And that was IT!!!

Scared little Jillian

As a reward for being so BRAVE and Wonderful-- I took Jillian to McDonald's! We got to go "inside"!! (Everytime we pass the golden arches Jillian BEGS not just to eat there but to GO IN!) Well, Jillian got her usual happy meal--we ate together and I told her how proud I am of her. We talked of her upcoming birthday in September and who her friends were etc. THEN the moment of fun came... She took off her shoes...she paced back and forth between the stairway climb up and the bottom of the slides--ONLY to break down in TEARS saying she needed Jordan and Josh to HELP her go onto the playground equipment! She apparently doesn't like the enclosed tunnels that rock back and forth! SO, we went and got a vanilla cone to go! Gotta love my little Jill Bill!
