Lazy Daisy and HouseBreaking Breakdown

OKAY-- Daisy is a cutiepie! She can be so sweet and loving and so hyper and fun! We love her...BUT-- I am about to go insane trying to house train this dog!!!! I will stay outside with her for 15 minutes or so and she won't go potty-- the MOMENT we come inside-- She runs down the hall and pees or poops!! This has got to STOP! I am going to the library with the kids Friday afternoon to get some resource guide books on the subject but any advice would be greatly appreciated! UNTIL THEN-- heaven help me!!

Happy Birthday Josh!

We celebrated Josh's 9th Birthday at the Fun RainForest Cafe in Grapevine! The morning of his birthday he opened a gift from Jordan-- A New Outfit to wear to school! Some cool Camouflage long shorts and a T-Shirt that read..."Save the Trees! Eliminate Homework!" His teacher laughed when she saw it!

Josh made out pretty good- Grandaddy and Grandma Jan sent him a cool book about George Washington and a couple of polo style shirts along with some jelly belly jelly beans! AND His Grammy and Grandpa sent him a cool birthday card where he had to decode the message with $20 CASH!! Mom and Dad got him his very own portable DVD player with headphones! Jillian got him a couple of movies to watch on his new gadget-- Uncle Buck and The Mask! AND His Favorite gift-- from my sweet thoughtful friend Nora -- "Alvin and The Chipmunks" DVD! It is THE popular movie at our house! He probably watched it 35 times in 5 days!!

Here is video from our fun celebration at the RainForest Cafe... We sat near the entrance/exit to the kitchen and Josh saw tons of these "SPARKLING VOLCANO" desserts coming out every 3 or 4 minutes! He kept expecting one of them to be for him! We tricked him into thinking that we would just go to Sonic on the way home for his dessert-- It was so fun!!
Jordan and Josh- We had a blast! I love my sweet birthday boy!
He loved being the center of attention all day!!

Sleepover Fun

I gave in! After many asks for friends to come spend the night...I agreed. I was locked into my reluctant decision after I spoke with the girls' parents 5 days ahead of the planned 'sleepover'! The arrangement was that I would just pick their kids up from school on Friday and the fun would begin! OH on Thursday the eve of this sleepover I was in deep regret- Jordan's room was a pigsty and there was laundry piled high in the living room so my chores were daunting and I so wanted to cancel the sleepover--BUT Everything got done-- and there was lots of Sleepover Fun had by ALL, (including myself!)
THE PARTICIPANTS:
  • Jordan
  • plus 3 friends (K, A, & M)

STEPHEN FITE- a singer songwriter/performer for preschoolers thru 2nd grade!
Jillian and her best pre-school bud Brett went to a special concert together. Brett's Mom was so kind to take Jillian along as I had to work at Mother's Day Out. They had so much fun singing and dancing at the concert.

So Hilarious-according to the kids!

The kids love watching this video found on Youtube....over and over again! They laugh everytime and then someone says- "Play it again! again!" It's this cute little Brittish boy with his baby brother, Charlie! THEN, after we've watched this 'hilarious clip'-- the kids speak in English accents for fun! Speaking in an English Accent has always been a fun family past-time for me- My Dad was born in England and also served as a Missionary for 2 years there so... We always have played around that way. Josh and Jordan and Granddaddy have a grand ole time copying the kids from the movie "Narnia" when they are all together.
Maybe that's why they love this YouTube clip so much-- :)

Besides talking like we are British-
We also like dancing in the kitchen with Granddaddy!
To really funny cheesy 'Organ Music'! :)

Special Day for Our Grandma Jan!

Grandma Jan reading to the girls

Yesterday we went out to eat at Spring Creek BBQ- as we sat at the big round table eating great food..., our thoughts and conversation turned to Grandma Jan! When she comes to town she enjoys eating there too because there is actually stuff there that she like to eat (That's what Josh said!)
Grandma Jan with Josh and Jill last year at Spring Creek! :)

LOL SO, we were missing Granddaddy and Grandma Jan as we reminisced about our past visits! Best wishes to Grandma Jan on her Special Day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! XOXO

Our 1st Family Walk with Daisy!

So, it's Friday night and we decided to take Daisy on a walk down around the corner to a bluebonnet field. She does not like being on a leash. She balked and backed up and shook her head back and forth for a good 10 minutes. Dave had to lead her down the sidewalk for the 1st little while then Josh took over. We had a blast taking pictures and running through the bluebonnets. The kids made a game to run full speed around the field trying NOT to step on the beautiful TX state flowers!
These are my 3 favorite pics of the kids...
Josh being loved by Daisy!
Sweet Jillian smelling a Bluebonnet

My Brother Mike is an April Fools Baby!

Today I miss my baby brother Mike! Growing up it was just he and I. He was a super track fast runner!- an Awesome Soccer Player and I got to see him play everywhere and all the time! It was a fun family past-time! We ate out at El Chico A LOT as a family-and we were always embarrassed at the end of the meal and would go hide in the car (especially if the service wasn't up to par as our parents would let them know! :)!) In the summertime Mike was a dark brown color from playing outside shirtless--usually going crawdad fishing or swimming in our metal cattle tank in our backyard!
I'm trying to recall all my happy memories with my Mike- There are so many-overall I feel just a love and contentment when it comes to Mike.
He is far away with his beautiful family-
Jenny, McKenna Kay, and Jackson cutiepie-
living the fun east coast life in New Jersey!

I always loved playing 'April Fools Day tricks' on Mike every year! I just want the whole world to know I LOVE MY BUBBA! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU MIKE!! XOXO always, Debbie
