No More Applesauce!

I am so so so tired of dang Applesauce!!! Jillian and I were recently members of a focus group where we sampled countless spoonfulls of applesauce and rated every facet of it!!

You see Jillian is actually a FANATICAL Applesauce eater! She LOVES it! That and popsicles! :) And I got this email about how if you have a 5-9 year old child with no allergies-- bring them to this applesauce sampling focus group and you earn $200!!! SOUNDED GREAT! I thought-- it's getting warmer-- the girls totally need a ceiling fan in their room-- and then I'd let Jillian get something cool--
*****Remember Josh did an allergy study last fall and earned $350 and bought a Wii!!

WELL turns out-- She and I BOTH had to do the sampling! I guess the deal is-- Motts is coming out with this new product --- "It's 1 serving of fruit and vegetable but the taste is.... Simply Fruit!" Oh yeah-- I had rate that little slogan over and over again about how well I feel the slogan represents that particular ORANGY TANGY BABYFOOD LOOKING LIKE applesauce I was tasting for the hundredth time!
Like... Based on the looking only at the applesauce how would rate the applesauce
  1. extremely dislike
  2. moderately dislike
  3. somewhat dislike
  4. neither like or dislike
  5. slightly like
  6. moderately like
  7. like very much
  8. extremely like
OVER AND OVER with the Texture, Color, Taste, How it feels in your mouth, Feeling in your mouth after you swallow---- On and On and On!

Well, Good thing it is done! We earned the $200 bucks--- poor Jilly thought the whole time we were sampling and answering the survey questions that we were in a COMPETITION-- at the end they called about 5 Parent/Child teams to continue into another conference room for a few final questions while the rest of were done-- (I was glad we weren't chosen! But... I looked down at Jillian and she had tears streaming down her face and she said... "you mean we didn't win???" Poor Jill-- I explained-- YES WE WON! Everyone WINS here! We all earned the money!

So....

Jillian is in Purple ipod HEAVEN!!! LOL

And... Surprisingly she is still asking for applesauce today even after the marathon sampling we did! Not me though-- the smell and sight of it make me nauseous! LOL

BUT... I can't wait for the next moneymaking focus group or research study that comes along!! LOLOLOLOL

Dreamers!

I heard a rumor not too long ago that the Dreamer's candles were going out of business! I went to this gas station around the corner from my house... "The Whip In" LOL only to find that the rumor is TRUE!!! I wanted to reward my hard work of house cleaning by sitting back and relaxing to the penetrating aroma of the scent Mother's Apple Strudel or Welcome Home!! But my favorites were already sold out! SO... I settled for Hazelnut Coffee and Ice and Spice! WOW... The economy sucks so bad-- It's forced my favorite candles company out of biz and now I can't even enjoy the warmth and comfort of my Dreamers Candles like I used to! OH well- another venting of sorts! It's meaningless when compared to what's really important in life and the heartache that real trouble and tribulation can bring! I listened to talk radio on my way to the Whip In and back-- Very depressing!

Anyways... know of any other spectacular powerful whole house not just one room filling candles??

President's Day

Wonder why there isn't more of a 'todo' about this holiday? Seems like MLK day gets much more notoriety pomp and circumstance yet with out the good works of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln-- probly wouldn't have MLK day-- Oh well- our school district gave us the day off sorda... I mean the teachers had "inservice" while the students are off so it's really a pseudo President's Day vacation day. OH well.. Just thought I'd vent! Maybe there will be something cool on the History Channel tonight about the Presidents....

Valentine Partying!

It was a great day of fun with lots of giving and receiving!
First I went to Jordan's School... She texted me while she was on the bus that she forgot her Valentines-- She got some "Iron Man" Valentine's to hand out to a few select friends through out the day... I was exasperated that I was going to have to make an extra trip to her school to deliver them to her-- BUT after I dropped Jillian off at her pre-school... I buzzed in through the security at her Middle School (such a different world now) and Went to the office-- While I was there I discovered that the PTA was selling "Val-O-Grams" to be delivered during the students 7th period class... SO... Since there was no big Party to help out with at the Middle School-- I purchased one of these "Val-O-Grams" for Jordan from her Dad and I with a lovey dovey your the greatest daughter message! LOL
This pic is from Jordan's bday- I think I forgot to blog it-- but she went to see "Twilight" on opening day with a few friends! She is already planning her next bday which is when the sequel "New Moon" comes out-- it actually comes out on her bday! LOL

So... I guess it was worth it to make the extra trip up to deliver her forgotten Vcards so I could do something special for her!
NEXT, It was Back to Jillian's Day School for some F U N!!!!
This is Proud Jillian showing off her Cute Valentine Box that she and I worked very hard on! :)
We started the day off at Jillian's Pre-school Valentine's Party! Oh and FYI- Jillian is on the end of the table with the black sweater over red polka dotted dress--- Her BFF Julianna looks like her twin in the white sweater! :)
The kids enjoyed heart shaped sandwiches with heart shaped sugar cookies to decorate for dessert!
Then it was off to Josher's Party! It was so fun to see the chaos of all the kids roaming around the room putting their Valentine's into each other's Valentine Sacks! Josh had "Iron Man" Valentines!
Josh ate lots of Cookies and FUN DIP! Aunt Aner had give the kids a 24 pack of Fun Dip Valentines over the past weekend-- The kids scarfed them down the first day! Josh was elated to get 3 more FunDip Packets of pure sugar delight-- His mouth was blue by the end of the party!
I remember the days of my own Valentine Parties at school. My mom was always the Room Mom! I'm glad to be following in her footsteps. I always loved my mom being involved in my life and I hope my kids will feel the same someday!

Family Night & Pineapple Hats

Well- We are trying to get back into the habit of having Family Nights on Monday evenings. I realize how fast... lightning fast... this precious time is passing with our kids. I'm going to wake up one day and it will be just Dave and I in the house alone. LOL
SO... in order to build our family relationships and create unity and foster love- We had a fun game of Whoonu! (a game where you are given 4 cards --

The cards will say things like Mini Vans, Chicago Bears, Guitars, Lasagna--

Then let's say Dave was IT-- Then I would choose "Guitars"-- everyone else would pick the card that represented Dave the most-- what he likes best--

And then He gets all the cards and chooses either my pick of "Guitars", Jordan's pick "Hunting", Josh's Pick "Running", or Jillian's pick "Motorcycles"

Then Dave would deliberate and finally choose which one he liked the best-- The kids would be giggling as they try to keep their pick a secret--

AND... Then Dave would choose Motorcycles and JILLIAN WOULD WIN that round--and then she'd be it...and we'd have to pick a card that represented her! LOL

It's fun-- you should come play with us! LOL

As you can see, We had some fun with our after game snack!
Smiling Josh!
Jilly Bill!
Pineapple Crowned Jordan!
Crazy Daddy! He so didn't want to pose!
Me! With major gray skunk roots! Thankfully--
I'm getting my hair done this Thursday before my scrapbook retreat! :)
