Gone Snowmobiling

I am exhausted from packing 3 kiddos, coordinating 3 different sitters, letting the school know where the kids will be and what to do in an emergency- My brain is fried and my eyes are drooping! I know it will all be worth as tomorrow-- Dave and I and 2 other couples will be nestled in a cabin in Heber, Utah! I am excited to take lots of pictures-- Be back Sunday night!

Our Prophet

President Gordon B. Hinckley, who led The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through twelve years of global expansion, has died at the age of 97.

President Hinckley was the 15th president in the 177-year history of the Church and had served as its president since 12 March 1995.

The Church president died at his apartment in downtown Salt Lake City at 7:00 p.m. Sunday night from causes incident to age. Members of his family were at his bedside. A successor is not expected to be formally chosen by the Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles until after President Hinckley’s funeral within the next few days.

We are grieving the loss of our sweet Prophet. However, we know he is happy tonight- he must be having joyous reunions with his wife, his parents, and all that have gone on before him as he passed through the veil. As I tucked Jordan into bed tonite- she couldn't stop crying. He was a great man of God.

MISSION POSSIBLE! Finding Luke's Cure!

Jordan, Josh, and I went to a "Walk-a-thon" put on by the Muscular Dystrophy Association to support finding a cure for Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome.
Luke Hughes is a 1 out of 2 million precious baby who has literally changed our world!
At the MDA Rally there were lots of "TEAMS" with signs and pictures-
We were all there in support of one special boy - Our Team was "CMS LUKE"!
His mother Andrea (my beautiful best friend) is so passionate and strong
in her quest to move mountains for little Luke.
We wore buttons with Luke's picture, cheered, danced the Hokey Pokey, and enjoyed lots of smiles from all who were there. It was a great experience and I was truly touched as I was caught up in the emotion of the day-- Everyone there was on a MISSION POSSIBLE!!
Check out Andrea's blog to learn more-
(Thanks to my talented friend Ericka who took these beautiful pictures!)

Jillian's "blog pictures of the day"

After I showed Jillian the new blog post of Jordan reading-- She got busy! Just awhile ago she came in to ask me "Where is your camera mom?" I asked why she wanted it and her reply totally cracks me up-- "Because I need to take the blog pictures of the day!" She had arranged all her toys- decorated them-- added a shoe here and there, covered some stuffed animals with kleenex as a blankey-- She made this whole display and wanted to take picures! Well, I guess Jillian shares my passion of blogging! LOL
This is Jilly's 1st blog pictures of the day!!
Books, Lot's of barbies, dolly with princess crown, shoe placed just so... :)
She wanted to showcase "Charley" the big dog!" She actually said-
"Mom, make sure you get Charley in the picture!"
My sweet silly Jilly!

Reader

I am so amazed by my sweet Jordan. She is an avid reader. This is her passion! It is how she spends her free time. She has read huge almost 500 page books in as little time as a 48 hours. The library is one of her favorite places on earth-- that and Barnes and Noble and Half Price books! She is an example to me- I need to engage my mind in a good book rather than questionable TV. She has read almost all the 'Babysitter's Club' series and 'American Girl' books. She has read Laura Ingalls Wilder and Series of Unfortunate Events... Jordan is so sweet-- she will read to her brother and sister-- whatever they want her to read! I love it that she LOVES reading!

Sneaky girl

Here is Jillian--
We had just dropped Josh and Jor off at school and it was the day of the Science Fair Project so I had just snapped a pic of Jordan with her project and Jill insisted I take a picture of her next! So-- here she is... wrapped in blanket because it was so chilly in the mornings this week.

Jillian is such a character-- Lately, she has been trying to be sneaky! She will tell me-- "Mom, don't look at me!" I'll say "Okay"-- She'll keep reiterating --"MOM! I mean it- Don't look at me. I'm serious- DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!" Then it struck me-- she's doing something wrong-- Sure enough she is in hers and Jordan's room about to write on Jordan's new prized notebook that she got from church--The NEXT incident where I was notified not to LOOK at her was -- she had taped up UGOGRL cards all around her room! Today we went to this sunglasses store and the kids were asked not to TOUCH-- I was taking too long trying to find just the right glasses and Jillian was just dying to TOUCH-- so she told her dad-- "Dad, don't look at me okay!" Well, we are on to her game. She is a sweet smart girl and she cracks me up and drives me insane all at the same time! Love my baby girl JillyBill!
